WHY NORTH IDAHO?

It has been 7 years since I moved out here to Coeur d’Alene. Though I have lived here in North Idaho for over half a decade, I still regularly get that exact question from relatives and friends. Normally I simply say "Come and visit here for 4-5 days ... then you will understand why”. Unfortunately, I feel this simple and direct answer fails to quantify the lifestyle that comes with living in this rare and beautiful area.

When I moved to CDA (what we locals call it) in 2011, the Real Estate Market in this area was near its lowest point. Fast forward to 7 years in the future and the present Real Estate Market reflects the dramatic changes our area has seen in both popularity and population growth. I whole-heartedly believe that our amazing area is still ‘A Steal of a Deal’, simply because it is painfully obvious that North Idaho provides some of the highest quality of life when compared to the low cost it takes to live here.

My wife Samantha and I had the opportunity to move away from CDA, but we just could not accept the job offer. Our souls are attached to Lake Coeur d’Alene, attached to Canfield Mountain, attached to Sandpoint, attached to Farragut State Park, attached to Mt. Spokane, and attached to all the wonderful people we meet here on a daily basis. You see, Samantha and I know that we are very fortunate … because we are able to live in our 30's, where we would want to retire to in our 60's.

So …"Why North Idaho?" ... well that question is simple to answer ... "Because we get to spend an additional 30 years living where we would inevitably retire to". Now, how does a person put an honest value on such a gift as that?
