For those of us that like to travel and go exploring, Kootenai County is conveniently situated near I-90 and this means that Coeur d’Alene is only a 45-minute drive to the Spokane International Airport, where you can board Direct Flights to many major cities along the west coast. If flying is not high up on your list of travel choices, there are countless locations within a few hours drive, where you could either take a day trip or turn it into a memorable weekend getaway.
